How scoring works

FactorEffect
Completion speed2 points deducted per second, capped at a 5,000-point penalty
DifficultySame 10,000-point base at every level - Expert and Master simply take longer to solve cleanly
MistakesEach mistake deducts 200 points (max 3 before game over)
HintsEach hint used deducts 300 points
NotesNo penalty - Use notes freely

Every completed puzzle starts from a base of 10,000 points. The clock then deducts 2 points per second of solving time (capped at a 5,000-point penalty), each mistake costs 200 points, and each hint costs 300 - So a fast, clean solve is the only path to a near-perfect score. Scores never drop below zero, and completions under 30 seconds are automatically flagged for review to keep the rankings fair. The All-Time board adds up every score you earn, while Best Single Score shows your finest individual solve. Want more ways to compete?
